Boomers Travel Project
Be the difference
Born between 1946 and 1964, baby boomers have changed North American business at each stage of their development. Diaper services, Barbie dolls, Rolling Stone magazine, relaxed-fit jeans and SUVs - all were created in response to boomers' needs, notes Kim Ross.
Now, for those who have achieved success in their peak earning years and are now in their prime age, the question is, how do you find significance? One answer is, to change the world and make it a better place when we leave it to our children. According to former US president, Bill Clinton, “we can move the world with private citizens and NGOs, big and small.”
As such, Smile Africa in partnership with TaLedi Enterprise Development Inc., are developing the Boomers Travel Project as a framework for boomers who seek a unique travel and participation opportunity. From education of children and empowerment of nations to fighting the difficult odds of climate change, there are ample opportunities for boomers to volunteer, share their expertise and blessings and turn the 21st century world around.
